SynapX ("we", "us", "our") is the developer and publisher of the SynapX mobile application available on the Apple App Store. For privacy-related questions, contact us at: privacy@synapx.app
SynapX does not require an account, sign-in, name, or email. To manage the time-limited free trial of our optional Premium features, the app generates a random device identifier (a UUID created on your device on first launch) and stores on our backend only:
This identifier is used solely for app functionality (administering the free trial). It is not used to track you across other apps or websites, and it carries no personal information. Reinstalling the app generates a new identifier.
The notes you create — including text, titles, tags, categories, imported content, transcribed voice notes, and Vault (private) notes — are stored locally on your device in the app's storage. Your notes are not uploaded to or stored on our servers. They remain on your device unless you choose to export or back them up yourself, and they are removed when you delete the App.
SynapX offers AI features that require an internet connection. When a note is processed by AI (for example, when you capture a note with AI organization enabled, or use the "Ask" assistant), the following is transmitted through our Supabase Edge Function to a third-party AI provider that generates the result:
To make organization and suggestions more relevant over time, SynapX also derives concise, non-sensitive summaries from your non-private notes and processes them through the same AI pipeline to build a personalization profile. This profile is stored locally on your device, not on our servers.
Notes you mark as Private are never sent to the AI and are never included in the personalization profile. Content sent for AI processing is used only to generate your requested result and is not stored on our servers beyond what is needed to complete the request. The AI provider may process request data under its own API data-processing terms and safeguards.
If you use voice capture, the app requests permission to access your device microphone and Apple's speech recognition. Voice input is converted to text using Apple's Speech framework. The resulting text is stored locally as a note and is only sent to AI if you subsequently choose to process it (see Section 2.3). We do not record or store raw audio on our servers.
With your permission, you can import images and documents from your camera or photo library. Text recognition (OCR) is performed on your device using Apple's Vision framework — image content is not sent to our servers for OCR. SynapX does not collect, use, or store your location.
The secure Vault uses Apple's local authentication (Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode) to unlock private notes. Authentication is handled entirely by iOS on your device. We never receive or store your biometric data.
With your permission, SynapX schedules local notifications (e.g., reminders for scheduled items). Notification data is processed entirely on your device and does not involve transmitting information to our servers.
We do not sell your data. We do not show advertisements. We do not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
Your notes, Vault contents, and app preferences are stored locally on your device and are removed when you delete the App.
The only data stored in our Supabase database is a random device identifier, your free-trial start date, and related timestamps. We do not store your name, email, Apple ID, or any note content on our backend.
Deleting the App removes all locally stored notes, your personalization profile, and preferences from your device. The trial record associated with your random device identifier contains no personal information; you may request its deletion at any time by emailing us (see Section 11).
We use the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy:
We do not share your personal data with any other third parties.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
