These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and SynapX ("we", "us", "our") governing your use of the SynapX mobile application ("App") and any related services. By creating an account or using the App, you confirm that:
SynapX is an AI-powered personal note-taking and "second brain" application that provides:
The App is available in English, Turkish, Italian, French, German, Spanish, Hindi, Chinese (Simplified), Korean, Arabic, Indonesian, and Russian.
SynapX uses Apple's Sign in with Apple to authenticate users. You must have a valid Apple ID to create an account. By signing in, you agree to comply with Apple's terms of service in addition to these Terms.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Apple ID credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@synapx.app if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the App. Deletion removes your profile record (name and email) from our backend. Your notes are stored locally on your device; deleting the App from your device permanently removes all locally stored notes, vault contents, and preferences that have not been separately exported or backed up by you.
Core SynapX features remain free and fully functional: manual note creation, the secure Vault, local search, and storing your notes on your device. These do not require a subscription.

The exact price in your local currency is shown in the App before you purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Pricing is subject to change; you will be notified before any price change affecting your active subscription.
SynapX may provide eligible users with a limited app-managed preview period for Premium features. This preview access does not automatically convert into a paid subscription and does not itself charge your Apple ID. To continue Premium access after the preview period, you must choose a paid subscription in the App.
If Apple offers an introductory price, free trial, or other subscription offer for SynapX Premium, the exact offer terms, eligibility, billing start date, and cancellation requirements will be shown on the App Store purchase screen before you confirm the purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID Account Settings or on the App Store Subscriptions page.
Subscription payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Refund requests must be directed to Apple in accordance with Apple's refund policy. We do not issue refunds directly for App Store purchases. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

You agree to use SynapX only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:
The App, including its design, code, content, AI system prompts, and all related materials, is owned by SynapX and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Your use of the App does not grant you any ownership rights.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App solely for your personal, non-commercial use on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the Apple App Store Terms of Service.
You retain full ownership of the notes and content you create in SynapX ("Your Content"). We do not claim any ownership of Your Content.
When you choose to process a note with AI, or use the "Ask" assistant, you grant us a limited license to transmit and process the relevant content solely to generate the requested result. Notes you mark as Private are never sent to the AI. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit any content you process with the AI features.
The App relies on third-party services including Supabase (backend infrastructure and the AI proxy), a third-party AI provider (which generates AI responses, accessed only through our backend), Apple (authentication, payments, on-device speech recognition and text recognition), and Google Fonts (font delivery). Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SYNAPX AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR USD $10.00, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SynapX and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use or misuse of the App; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any content you submit through the App.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, are engaging in fraudulent activity, or if required by law. Upon termination, your license to use the App ceases immediately. Sections 6, 7, 10, 11, 13, and 14 survive termination.
You may terminate your use of the App at any time by deleting the App and your account.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any dispute informally. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction in the applicable territory, as required by local law.
Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation whatsoever to provide maintenance or support for the App. To the extent these Terms conflict with the Apple App Store Terms of Service, the App Store Terms take precedence.
The following terms apply to your use of SynapX as downloaded from the Apple App Store:
We may modify these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated through an in-app notice or notification. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the App and delete your account.
